Cheryl Rename the file with an .xls suffix, it will then open in excel. If you're not sure how to rename: Navigate to the file using Windows Explorer (My Computer on the desktop will get you there) Right click on the file and choose Rename. Just change that last letter. This could be a Microsoft Excel auto-recovery file, but is more probably a MS Works Spreadsheet file. Some versions of Excel can open these, you need to save the file to a location, open Excel and select File->Open to open the file. If your version of Excel can't open the file you need to ask you client to do a Save As in Works and select the MS Excel97 format to create an xls file. Hope this helps.
