Crazy Dutch, Belgian, German, Brits in Amsterdam Orgy

It was an orgy of friendship, bonding and getting to know new friends and old...On Monday 11th of June Mike Turner, William Buist and I flew into Schiphol Airport and in Less than 10 minutes Cornelis de Maijer had wired Mike, William and me Intravenously to the Amstell tap.

ecademy1This carried on for some time as we watch the Dutch rain fall before being poured into Cornelis's car for the short trip to our accomodation the good ship Linquenda owned and Skipperd by a real crazy Dutchman named Yan..The swine later had Mike Turner and I doing hard labor swabbing decks and hoisting sales... Bloody hard work I can tell you.
ecademy4Following an hilarious night of European banter and more Amstel - a night I will remember for a very long time to come with good friends.Cornelis de Maijer - Mike Turner - William Buist - Peter H. Claes - Robert Oosthout and Skipper Jan Dooyens. We woke at 06:00 HRS for breakfast, because some plonker forgot to turn off their iPhone alarm clock !!!ecademy2Still in our pajamas, Mike, Cornelis and me wandered over to the shower block for a shower..
ecademy3The the other Ecademists on the excellent International Networking day began to arrive, You can see a list of the names here and more details about the event.... I'm not going to go into great detail here about the day as my typing fingers are sore from hoisting sales and swabbing decks - but, to say this...Mike Turner and I nearly cancelled at the last moment because of heavy workloads and other such excuses... But we did not cancel - We jumped on the plane and less than an hour later were released into the care of the craziest Dutchman on the planet - Cornelis de Maijer and needless to say we had a fantastic couple of days of networking and relaxing on a really great sailing Yatcht - under sail in a force 4 wind on a huge lake in a place with a name I can neither spell nor pronounce... with 20 other ecademists hanging on for dear life with captain Yan at the helm barking orders in a language I cannot understand...It was the best day out I have had for quite a long time... Here's hoping more ecademists will join in on the next ecademy International Networking Day...Ahoy land lubbersMickPS - More images to follow.....
