Pilates as cure for Scoliosis

Joseph Pilates developed a set of exercises and equipment for improving the core muscle structure of the human body back in the 1930s. He went so far as to say that if you used his methods, you wouldn't need medical doctors to keep you healthy. I have been doing Pilates with a private instructor twice a week for 18 months. I have seen very remarkable results and I have not yet reached a limit to my physical improvement. Every time I have a one hour session, I feel something has improved. Last month my scoliosis in my mid back nearly disappeared. I have been told since childhood that it would only get worse, and it had. Now it is nearly undetectable. In general, I feel better and stronger and do not have aches and pains in my joints or muscles. To be fair, I have coupled my Pilates training with regular weekly visits to the chiropractor for adjustment and muscle massage, but he was ready to throw in the towel on my condition 6 months ago. He wanted me to wear custom inserts in my shoes. I don't think I will be needing those. I have written this message to encourage others to try Pilates and chiropratic treatment for scoliosis and/or joint and muscle pain or fatigue.
