Cancer IFA Service - available FREE to first ten
The idea for the Cancer IFA Service came after I had throat cancer myself in 2007. We help cancer sufferers make the most of the time they have by making the best use of their financial resources - I am a retired IFA. Till now CancerIFA has worked as an informal service offered to clients of IFAs and GPs. This has generated a high media profile, goodwill and testimonials. After more than 12 months development, the CancerIFA service is "good to go" as a business. But as a final test, we are offering this service free to TEN users - people who have been diagnosed with cancer and may not have long to live. As much of the service is provided by telephone, it is available throughout the UK. After this period, the service will be chargeable, either individually or as an additional employee benefit. The service works as follows: a) cancer sufferer referred to cancerIFA by employer, IFA or GP b) questionnaires requesting personal, financial and goal information with covering letter are sent to cancer sufferer c) once the questionnaires have been returned, we telephone (up to 1 hour) the person concerned to clarify their wishes d) since we now know something about them, what resources they have and what they really care about or want to achieve, we research their goals to see what is achievable e) research done, we have a second one-hour conversation explaining what is doable, what isn't and what may be doable. The essence of the cancerIFA service is to help people make the most of the time they have, by making best use of their financial resources f) our recommendations are confirmed in writing directly to the cancer sufferer This offer is limited to the first TEN people who contact us.
