I am passionate about trust and honesty and building a team to deliver something special - Refer-On Limited. The Refer-On Vision Refer-On is a very special association of independent business owners, business leaders and independent professionals organised through a nationwide grid of interconnected hubs in major economic areas of the country. Its key objective is to contribute to building better businesses and commercial awareness through help, support and encouragement. The Refer-On Mission The Refer-On mission is to craft an infrastructure, which delivers true business value to new entrants to the world of commerce, such as independent business owners, Public Sector and Service Leavers, as well as Independent Professionals, Business Owners and Business Leaders throughout the UK. We will sustain and enhance the culture of help, support and encouragement in a friendly, relaxed and professional atmosphere. The Refer-On 10 Points of Culture We own all our actions and we are not defensive nor do we use blame to mask our own mistakes. We always speak the truth. We are honest and reject others' dishonesty. We always aspire to excellence. This is instrumental in growing the company the way we choose. We always speak positively about other members and about the management team. Interpersonal issues and concerns are dealt with privately. We always focus on success. We learn from our mistakes. While we respect others, we are all leaders and we are flexible enough to acknowledge when things require change. We are ware that life balance means just that. Self reward and time with our families is important to us all. We enjoy the journey. We are grateful and acknowledge others' contribution to our abundance. Unacceptable behaviour isÂ…unacceptable. The Refer-On Proposition Members are Business Owners and Business Leaders of start-ups & small-to-medium businesses or Public Sector and Service Leavers. They are encouraged to meet on a weekly basis, usually for breakfast, to maximise time effectiveness. Refer-On is a very special business association which, unlike conventional rules-bound networks, provides a relaxed yet professional and mature atmosphere, supported by the Chatham House Rule, delivering the following unique and significant combination of benefits: membership of one hub includes membership of ALL hubs across the UK non-pressurized peer-to-peer coaching and 'Spotlight' problem resolution through discussion and review training & education workshops, at preferential rates, in sales & marketing, team building, time management, etc. a full advisory board function - critical to business owners and other professionals who either cannot afford such a luxury or prefer the function to be independent (Chatham House Rule applies) A corporate support-type infrastructure - without the bureaucracy. The "Chatham House Rule" Refer-On's goal of trust in a relaxed yet professional atmosphere is supported by the confidence engendered by the "Chatham House Rule" which states: "When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed". Chatham House, also known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs, is based in St. James's, London. Established in 1919, it was originally the Anglo-American Institute of Foreign Affairs. Chatham House received a Royal charter in 1926 and the American delegates formed the Council of Foreign Relations, as a sister organisation, in New York Both public sector and commercial enterprises use Chatham House rules for important meetings
